You have $100,000 to buy a used Sports/Super car. You could go safe and get a 911, or risky and get a Ferrari or go anywhere in between. What do you get?
It was a tough choice between an Aston and an R8, but ultimately I went with this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! priced at $89,900.

DB9s are also touching under 100k, so that's my choice.

E39 M5. and I can buy one for the with too.

Manual R8 with the V8, spend the rest on a supercharger and other important bits and bobs.

maybe a NSX or Gallardo or maybe a Laguna Seca Boss 302 2013 model

I'd split it at $50,000 each way. One of these:

If I were getting a car just for street driving, it would be this Aston Martin DB9 6-speed.
For track driving, 997.2 GT3.

July 17 (Bloomberg) - Aston Martin has dropped the price of its 2015 Vantage GT to a $99,900 an entry-level price for the exclusive car maker. But the Vantage GT may not be available in the United States for long because the car doesn't meet U.S. crash standards.

Have money left over for aftermarket parts too.

No it is not...the V8 coupe is 99,900.

They're way under...hell 65k gets you right in. If you really like adventures, you might occasionally find one just under 50k...but you might spend as much fixing the almost guaranteed problems it will have :p

Not sure if it counts as a super car, but this:
And use the rest for repairs and upgrades. May as well get one that will last, right?

No awd for me, and no foofy Aston Martinsthey do nothing for me beyond look expensive.
Relatively modern: 996 GT2, 997 GT3, 575 M
Older: 964 Turbo 3.6, 512 TR

2013 SRT Viper GTS: $89K

That Aston though... I think I'd prefer the DB9 over the Vantage, but heck - I'm willing to give both a shot :P There was a DBS listed on the front page a little while back for $115k...If it drops below 100k I immediately change my answer.

XDDD I wish i could get one. but uni student = no money.
living in canada = cars are WAY overpriced AND rusted.
and I dont have where to store it....*sigh*

Living in America and being responsible means not borrowing money to buy cars, but saving it up and paying cash, which means never happening because other things will come up and be determined as more important (spouse stuff)

oh, i'm well aware. my fam has never financed a car (or anything for tht matter, other then the house) so we are totally debt free right now. and that mentality is kinda what doing to get me. E39's are already on the rise in terms of price, and by the time i'm out of uni, (4 years) a good one will be 20k. by the time i save up 20k, a good one will be 40k. #firstworldproblems

930 Turbo or e46 M3 CSL repainted in Laguna Seca blue.

Exactly, by the time I save the money for the car my wife wants (Audi Allroad) plus a house plus education paid off, the e39 will be bonafide classics and be around 50k or more

I drove the base Atom at Brands Hatch and I came away from the experience a changed man. So I can't even begin to imagine what that piece of gold beauty would do to me.

I agree, V8 Vantage. I like having the only car in the world that can potentially upstage the F-Type's exhaust note.

Easy! A really nice NSX!

All roads are REALLY nice cars (I'm assuming we are speaking of the old ones, yes? not the new A4 based ones)
but they are known for being unreliable, and shit WILL break and it WILL cost you an arm and a leg.
that being said. I know someone with on, 2.7L TT v6. worked on until 550HP. confuses the SHIT out of every muclsecar/brotruck/ricer he comes across.
![]() 07/23/2014 at 15:47 |

She wants the new one, the A4 based version. Non-manual most likely in black.
![]() 07/23/2014 at 15:48 |

dont think you can actually buy it with a manual (not in canada at least)
well, its not a bad car by any means of the word. But something about it...IDK what it is, but I dont like it....I want to like it....but I cant and I dont know why.
![]() 07/23/2014 at 15:50 |

I don't feel anything at all regarding it, much like any Lexus or Acura. But it is what she wants, so it will be done.

Well, since the 997 GT3 RS is still coming in on low priced sales at $135,000 - $140,000...
Audi R8 4.2 V8 Manual $80,000 - $85,000 and then spend the rest on a Stasis SC kit (600+hp and still weighs less than the V10).
